That's how long it took for the sting from the stinging nettle I walked into at the creek this week to stop stinging!
I thought I had encountered them before... but apparently NOT! This pain, I would remember!!!! I tried aspercreme, silvadeen, hyrdocortisone and another steroid... NO relief! The only bit of relief came from ice...hard to sleep like that....or from holding my morning cup of coffee on my knee!
Take a closer look at those thorns!

Well, it's a little late to tell you this now--and I still hesitate to do so--but I didn't even know there was such a thing as stinging (or bull) nettle until I walked through a patch of it when I was first married. My husband knew what it was and what to do about it: he peed on it and the stinging stopped. No kidding. Google it.
Ouch, I know your pain - I grew up with a creek nearby and have walked into more than one nettle as a kid!

Gee Linda, that's a good a case as any I've heard to get married! LOL!
I was stunned by how much this hurt!!! But it's kinda hard to pee on your own knee!
Been there, done that, but not so bad as you. I suppose that next time it happens, we'll just do like Linda's husband and pee on it (imagine the first person who felt desperate enough to do that). I'm just glad Linda wasn't at the church picnic when it happened.
What'd I tell ya?!? Pee!!
Yeah, I would second the peeing on it option. I heard that one before as well.
You should have showed that nettle - take it home, cook it and EAT it!! (the sting-y nettles come off in the cooking)
I miss the mountains!
