This is AFTER the first leg of the storm.
And this is Miss Piss. I was shooting the foam forming at the base of the waterfall when my dog momma instinct kicked in... the grunt in the middle of the video is my first verbal warning to her. It didn't work and she ended up a featured player in this video. She has pretty good sense about fast moving water (thanks to a terrifying event in puppyhood) but every once in a while, she likes to make sure I'm paying attention.
And finally a shot of the levy. This was taken before the storm but the part I wanted you to see is the dirt / grass that goes almost to the top of the levy wall. That's where the creek rose to in '05! This was the land level before the last storm... pretty impressive!

That should be a public service message: "Don't mess with Mother Nature-you'll lose!". Glad Mabel had the sense not to try to go swimming!
Wow, what a difference between the two creek videos. It was scary watching Mabel consider whether or not to jump in.
Mabel just loves to test me sometimes!
What turbulent water, Holly. It reminds me of my runny nose the last few days :>)
Wow Holly, is that the creek we've been to? I can't imagine it looking like that. Yikes!
Oh Annie, I'm so sorry you're still suffering with that nasty cold!
Becky, the one and only! Amazing, huh? It's already much calmer by the levy, but down by the falls where so much water converges, it's going to be raging for a few more days.
