Maybe it's that so many people look at a rottweiler and see... something vicious. I never have... Even the most serious of rotten faces make me want to roll around on the ground and give them big blubbery kisses! And since every rotten I've ever known is an ultimate prankster of the highest level... this pic sums that up for me. Bart's gorgeous face says it all!!

You know, I don't think I've ever seen a Rottweiler close up. Mabel and Bart certainly have sweet faces. It must be their size that some people find intimidating.
Linda, Maybe that IS it! They are very powerful dogs and the younger ones have energy galore. But they are so intelligent, such people pleasers... and many not so nice humans harness all that into something horrible.
