Janet, those crevasses are created after land is underwater for a long period of time. The first time I ever saw them is when I had my first good camera and they drained the huge lake by our house for dam repair. I've been fascinated by them ever since! This area was flooded after the station fire.... will be again this coming week. We are predicted to get 15" of rain this week!!!
