Is it Animal Cruelty...

...to "make" the dog play tug of war only because it puts my tired, aching back in the most perfect, pain relieving stretch ever? If it is, please, don't turn me in!

Certainly not! It fulfills the dog's contract with you to perform services in exchange for room and board.

However, I think you might encounter problems if someone reports Mabel for practicing chiropractic medicine without a license...

Since I'm her only patient, I think her secret is safe... but knowing Mabel, she's probably out rustling up new customers and only charging bones for her services!

Um...I probably shouldn't repeat this, but I just read Mabel's blog. She was bragging about how she tricks you into playing tug of war with her by making you think it's your idea. Just passing this along for what it's worth.
