I'm in my deep, dark pre-birthday funk. It is a dismal place in my head and I'm so depressed, I'm sleeping a ridiculous number of hours. So don't expect to hear from me until...I'm....45! (It KILLS me! Oh, the drama!)

Nice interview, Holly, and I can see why it was hard to part with such a pretty bead.
My younger daughter also turns 45 in the next few days, and I'll tell you what I told her: I had many, many good days in my life before I turned 45, but the percentage of good days over bad ones is much higher in the years after 45 than in the years before. Physically, maybe not so much, but the mental and emotional advantages of wisdom and experience have been such a blessing. I hope it works out that way for you, too.
