I hope you guys laugh at these as hard as I have. Remember the dog post...two days ago? In the first video, you hear me mention, "Oh I'm making a video!" Until that moment, I didn't know my camera did that! I swear!

In the meantime, I've made two more movies. Please keep in mind... I thought I was taking a picture...still picture!

This film was taken at Laguna Beach recently when my Greek mom (really my close friend, Kat's mom) was visiting.

This next one is even more embarrassing. It was taken when we were in Temecula again for BF Barb's birthday. I was trying to get shot of the flowers for a post on a nursery there.

The really funny part is... if I wanted to make a movie with this camera... I wouldn't know how!

The "flower" movie is exactly what I'd get if I had that camera.

A few years ago my brother brought some home movies of some trips he took with his family. There was so much footage of the video camera facing his feet, or his stomach, or anything except what was in front of him, and the whole video extravaganza was so jerky I actually felt queasy when it was finally over!

Janet, Exactly... I'm such a clutz! I hate cameras that move too much. There are certain directors that do that deliberately and they drive me crazy.

Love the seagull.
And, the flower shot was cute as it starts out sideways and ends up right side up. Funny!

I'm not just giving an education on Wichita - I'm getting one. ;)

I'm with you two about watching a movie with lots of camera motion, they make me nauseous. Have to watch them with my eyes shut, which defeats the purpose of "watching a movie".

I can excuse it with amateurs, but it drives me crazy when they do it on TV shows and movies. I've often changed the channel when some director thinks it's way artistic to shoot the entire show with a jiggly camera. It's almost as if they know the script is crappy and try to distract us with imaginative camerawork.

On my camera I can take a short movie but I've never tried to upload one onto my blog. I'm wondering, do you do the same thing as you do with a still photo? Um, I might try, see what I can do here.

Thanks for the idea, Creekhiker.

Oh, I like the dancing bird. And I'm sure my movies would look like your flower movie, too! I know my camera does that - I've just never tried it. I am so NOT high tech.

Well, you might not have intended to make movies, but once you discovered that you had them, good for you for figuring out how to share them with us.

Now show us Miss Mabel -- on purpose.

Thanks everyone!

Velvet, It took some effort... Youtube just doesn't upload them for me... I think it must be the fact that they are awful! I did shoot one of Mabel - on purpose even. Stay tuned!
