Mulberries are in season! Every morning, I stand beside the creek and eat my fill! They are tasty and wonderful but there's no hiding the evidence. The purple stain lasts until the next day...when I'm at it again!

I had no idea mulberries grew in Southern Cal. I enjoyed them in Mississippi, where they would hang on the tree until they fermented, and birds would get too drunk to fly after feasting on them. Here in Oregon, they don't grow, even in town where a great many Southern plants do.
