Evidence of Her Puppyhood

Mabel Lou was once a most frustrating girl...eating everything in sight! Her bed, my shoes, my remote...anything was game! I bought bitter apple gel by the gallon (and considered adding it to her kibble as she clearly liked it!)

The photo says much about the state of chaos we live in... me running from classroom to studio to computer to freelance gig and not paying enough attention to ANYthing. Mabel once (10 summers ago!) ate money... I figured it to be about six and a half bucks (the "half" being the photo).

I taped the uneaten portion of the bill back together and place it in my art studio on the work table... which I apparently have not seen the bottom of in ten years!

If the Secret Service is reading this... I did not feed my dog money. She took it and ate it on her own! While I understand that destroying money is a federal offense, please, accept this photo as my excuse. THE DOG ATE IT!

Mom learned her lesson about that with Dakota. Dakota got a couple of $20 bills when she was a puppy and almost ate all of one and a lot of the other. Mom managed to get enough of one together for the bank to accept it. The other one, well that's why she learned her lesson.

I thought those silly laws only applied to people.

How could we ever forget about their puppyhood? :)

Very funny! My dogs never ate actual cash, but their chewing habits certainly cost me plenty. It's amazing how quickly they can destroy something when your back is turned for a moment.

If Mabel ever eats a hundred, you can extract the pieces from her poop, and the government will make it good--seriously.
