I tossed her a piece of bacon off my bacon cheeseburger from my favorite local Mom and Pop and it seems that burger was so juicy delish that the bacon stuck to her head... Excuse me while I try to stop laughing...
She looked and looked for it but couldn't figure out where it was! When she followed me to the shop with the bacon still on her head... well, I HAD to have some fun!
I did finally show her where that yummy bacon smell was coming from... I'm such a mean mommy!

Momma says you might be a bit dim in the brains to miss out on the fact that there is actual bacon on your head. Me? I think that you are beautiful and that's all that matters. Besides, some of momma's favorite doggies are daft.

Well, I believe Mabel is a deep thinker. You were able to get these great shots because she wasn't panicking about the bacon mystery; rather, she was pondering likely scenarios in her bacon-topped head. "Where does bacon go when it disappears?"
"Can bacon vaporize?"
"Did I eat it so quickly I don't remember?"
"Could it possibly be stuck somewhere on my body?"
You see, she was just at the point of figuring it out when you showed her where it was. All she needed was a few more seconds. :)
Linda, you have me rolling on the floor!!! I'm certain after wearing that bacon for 10 whole minutes... she would've found it! I should have left it for Bart... he would have knocked off but he's too respectful of Mabel to eat it!
You are close on one thing... I had tossed two pieces in quick succession, so I do think Mabel believed she had eaten it...but she could still smell it!
I also wanted to add... Mabel is most likely unhappy about the camera in her face... And the partially closed eyes are her "sun-baking" face.
Mabel, I never would have missed that tasty snack! Just sayin'.
