Product Review: Natural Balance Lamb Lung Bites from Chewy

Hello good peeps and pups of Blogville! Macy Blue here!  A 2nd review??? Yep! Miss Sydney at Chewy was super sweet and sent me THREE items to review... and I'm afraid we're only going to get two in as it's been so over-cast here and Momma and I wanted to share our bounty with my pals. We've got some sun so we're hoping...

But can I tell you how much I LOVE the Natural Balance Wild Pursuit Lamb Lung Bites???  I follow Momma anywhere for them!!! They are pawsome!!!

COM'ON MOMMA! Don't just TEASE ME! Toss me one of those delectable lamb lung bites!!!

That's better... ready...

Incoming....

Oh Geez Mom! Did anyone ever tell you that you throw like a girl??  You have no eye / paw coordination!  It's all right... sigh... I'll get it! (gotta do everything around here....grumble grumble... oy! That's delish!)

Wow! That was so nommy!!!! Please excuse the drools!!!

Momma dearest?? May I have another???

I can scooch a little closer...

OK Momma... you better put some blue words in about the gredient stuffs. I know you like to do that!

You got it MB!  First, I didn't know what Chewy was sending us and I must confess that I love Natural Balance... maybe because I adore Dick Van Patten - the actor who founded the company back when no one was talking about natural foods for pets.

The bites are about an inch in size and slice well for training size bites.  I also love that they don't smell the way some organ meat treats do!  They run about $3 per ounce ...par for the course with organ meat treats.  Ready for the long list of ingredients???

100% New Zealand Dehydrated Lamb Lung

That's all folks!

Wrap it up Macy Blue!

Wow! No complaints from Picky Mom??? Cool!

Macy Blue gives Natural Balance Lamb Lung Bites  four paws up and I give it two thumbs for quality!

Product Review: Grain Free Greenies from Chewy.com

Hello there good peeps and pups of Blogville! Macy Blue here back with another product review for Greenies. I've reviewed Greenies before and LOVED them but our pals at Chewy.com wanted me to try the new Grain Free Greenies.

So here goes:

Moerma? Curld yout ellrm erbourt dart nerxt pertograph?

Macy...you don't have to talk with your mouth full! But the Grain Free Greenies are a paler color than the other variety...

I see Macy is still chewing:

Nom Nom...Uh Momma, don't be making fun of me!!! I'll have to show them what a supermodel has to put up with in unskilled photographers!

As if they want to see your stupid squash plants... I mean, you did spend a whole day on your garden! It's so hard to get good help!

Oops, I forgot to check for crumbs! Hoover hoover... I don't like to leave a drop behind!

And puppehs, if you live with other puppehs or a humom who steals your foodables... check out this trick:

OUT OF FOCUS AGAIN MOM!!! Sigh... but see that Grain Free Greenie under my paw???? ;-)

Back to business: So Momma??? What's the big deal with grain free... you let me have grains???

Yes MB, I do let you have most grains except corn. But many humans have issues with grains  and wheat has become rather controversial in our diet because growers have been changing it to make it have more protein than it did many years ago. Many humans have issues digesting this new wheat and it kinda makes sense that our dogs would too! And humans who have a wheat allergy (known as gluten intolerance) don't even like to touch wheat based products. So this would be good for those folks.

And while I'm at it, let's show the folks the ingredients from the Chewy.com website:

Dried chickpeas, gelatin, glycerin, powdered cellulose, dried potato, water, lecithin, natural poultry flavor, minerals (dicalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, potassium chloride, magnesium amino acid chelate, zinc amino acid chelate, iron amino acid chelate, copper amino acid chelate, manganese amino acid chelate, potassium iodide), choline chloride, dried apple pomace, fruit juice color, vitamins ( dl-alpha tocopherol acetate [source of vitamin E], vitamin B12 supplement, d-calcium pantothenate [vitamin B5], niacin supplement, vitamin A supplement, riboflavin supplement [vitamin B2], vitamin D3 supplement, biotin, pyridoxine hydrochloride [vitamin B6], thiamine mononitrate [vitamin B1], folic acid), turmeric color.
The downside is the price! Grain Free Greenies are way pricier than regular greenies! Chewy has a 27 count bag at 35.09 compared to 25.99 for regular. The regular are on sale but even if they marked it up for all of the $7 savings shown on the Chewy site... The price would still be a few dollars cheaper. Bottom line: if you have issues or your dog does, spend the money. I for one and glad mine doesn't!

Well, I like them BOTH!!

Macy Blue gives Grain Free Greenies  four paws up and I give it two thumbs down for price!

Adoration

I'm Macy Blue on the way to the ocean; sitting in her auntie RottRover's lap and staring adoringly at Aria's pop.

Truth be told, she was not happy that puppeh Aria and Otto Rotto had turned the back of the van into a wrestling ring! She was so upset, she left her comfort zone (on top of my feet) and dove into her auntie's lap!

She gave auntie lots of kisses for the privilege of riding in her lap.

Still trying to get back in the blogging habit... So hard with the day job and listing beads on Facebook.
